Video of Friday night’s demonstrations from the burned QuikTrip
FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – The protests that started on Sunday over the police involved shooting death of Mike Brown have centered around a QuikTrip on West Florissant road in Ferguson. Dramatic video from Sunday night showed looters first ransacking the store and then setting it on fire.
Now, demonstrators are posting video tagged at the former business. The new Vines have a much different mood than the YouTube video of the looting. Cars drive by honking their support for the peaceful protests. A band is playing in the area while people hold signs for the Mike Brown movement. The co-creator of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, is in Ferguson documenting the events. He is originally from St. Louis.
