Several districts cancel classes after National Guard called into Ferguson

(KTVI) – Four St. Louis area school districts have cancelled classes because of the crisis in Ferguson.  The Ferguson-Florissant school district had delayed the start of classes until Monday, but now it’s been delayed again.

Other districts cancelling classes include the Jennings School District and Riverview Gardens.

The Special School District has also cancelled classes for the following schools:
Northview High School
North Technical High School

Although there are no incidents to report at this time, the district anticipates early morning issues.

Students are not encouraged to walk to school at this time.

Classes are expected to resume on Tuesday, August 19th.
