ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – State Senator, Jamilah Nasheed wants a federal investigation into the death of 25-year old Kajieme Powell. Powell was shot to death last week by two St. Louis police officers in north St. Louis. Police and witnesses, including an alderwoman, say he came at the officers with a knife.

In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, Nasheed asks him to investigate the procedures and policies of the St. Louis police department in using deadly force.
