(KTVI)- The Human Society of Missouri rescued 126 dogs and cats from the Humane Society in Lebanon. According the newly elected president, the facility could no longer take care of the animals due to "overcrowded and filthy conditions."

Mike Perkins, Director of the Animal Cruelty Task Force at the Missouri Humane Society, explains.

Forty-five medium-to-large size dogs of various breeds, 12 small breed dogs, and 65 cats were rescued.

Mike gives us an update on their health and when they'll be available for adoption.
