FENTON, MO (KTVI) – Three people were found dead inside a Jefferson County home on Thursday afternoon.  Police have now released the identities of the victims of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Smail Zukic, 64, Asija Zukic, 55 and Snead Zukic, 31, were found in a home in the  600 block of Walnut Ridge.  Their bodies were found in an easy chair, another was in a bedroom and the third was on a mattress in the basement.

According to  Sheriff Glenn Boyer, the ignition was turned on in the car in an attached garage, but they are unsure if the deaths were accidental or intentional.

The three victims were removed from the home and taken to the St Louis County Medical Examiner’s office for further examination. Police say the investigation is continuing.
