Yadier Molina is officially back with the Cardinals. The team activated Molina from the disabled list before Friday's game with the Cubs, his torn ligament in his thumb healed. Molina spent the two previous days at AA Springfield playing and preparing for his return to St. Louis. Molina has been out since July 9th. Yadi told reporters before the game that he missed his teammates and competing for the Cardinals. Manager Mike Matheny and GM John Mozeliak were amazed at Molina's recovery time, seven weeks instead of what had been diagnosed as an eight to 12 week injury.
