Highland teacher authorize strike

HIGHLAND, IL (KTVI) – Teachers in Highland Illinois have voted in favor of a strike.

The contract teachers were working under expired on August 31st, but so far teachers are remaining on the job. The vote only authorized a possible strike.

Teacher and the school district are scheduled for another mediation session for this coming weekend.

If the session fails to result in an agreement, a strike date will be announced.
