ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – St. Louisans are sending help to patients in Africa.

The donation drive came after an order of sisters sent a letter asking for medical equipment.

SSM Health Care and two of their suppliers responded.

About $19,000 in isolation gowns, gloves, wipes and other medical equipment is being sent.

The supplies are destined for Liberia.
