Three killed, 2 critically injured in south Kansas City shooting

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) — Authorities are investigating after three people were killed and two others were critically injured in shootings in a south Kansas City neighborhood.

The shootings happened just after 1 p.m. Tuesday on Woodbridge Lane just east of Wornall Road near East Blue Ridge Boulevard.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found one person dead inside a home. Two other people in that house were critically wounded.

A short time later, police found two more people dead inside a nearby house.

No one is in custody at this time.

Officers have blocked off the area around Wornall Road while they search for a suspect. They are going door-to-door looking for a suspect. Police said they are assuring neighbors of their safety.

Authorities have not identified the victims or suspect details at this time.

None of victims are children, police say.
