People diagnosed with Alzheimer’s have rare moments of clarity. Kelly Gunderson, of Georgia, captured an emotional moment between herself and her mother.

The video called “God’s Gift” was posted to YouTube on Friday. Kelly is lying in bed next to her 87-year-old mother. She seems confused at first then something clicks.

Kelly asks, “But do you know who I am though?”

Her mom responds, “Kelly.” Her mother then says, “Didn’t I name you Kelly? … Well, I love you, Kelly.”

Kelly Gunderson wrote to the millions of people who have seen the video on YouTube, “God gave me a moment with my mother remembering who I was. (Plus i am an identical twin which makes it even more special.) which doesn’t happen often. Lots of time I am a cousin.”
