LINCOLN COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – Wright City and Wentzville Fire Departments rescued a 42-year-old man trapped in his vehicle on Highway WW at Myers Road Tuesday morning. Rescue crews arrived on scene at 5:45 am to find the man trapped in his vehicle up to his waist in water from flash flooding on the road from Monday night’s storm.

Officials say the man was on his way to work and didn’t see the water till he had driven into it.

Rescuers were able to pull the man to safety. A medical examination found no injuries.

Rescuers stayed on scene until 10 am for road crews to close the road due to flooding.
