SAN FRANCISCO, CA (CNN) – Oh deer! Take a look at these animals stopping traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge Friday in San Francisco.

The California Highway Patrol says they were running to the hills of Marin County on the bridge’s northbound lanes.

Officers were caught in the traffic backup and by the time they got to where the deer were spotted, the creatures were gone.

Luckily, a viewer managed to snap a few pics for us!

The deer weren’t hurt, which CHP says was likely because it was rush hour and traffic was moving very slowly.
