Pit Bull shot in kennel during domestic dispute

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL – (KTVI) A metro east is being charged for shooting her boyfriend’s dog while it was in the kennel.

Police say that Angela Willig, 32, was having an argument with her boyfriend at 1am on Labor day.  When they arrived at the scene they found a Pit Bull shot three times in the face and paw.

Investigator say the dog was locked inside a kennel in the home when it was shot.  The pet did not pose a threat to anyone in the home.  They say that Willig shot the dog during a domestic dispute with her boyfriend.  Her boyfriend is the owner of the Pit Bull.

Willing was arrested and charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.  Her bond is set at $25,000. She is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail.
