JENNINGS, MO (KTVI) – Six community organizations are hosting a community empowerment summit next Saturday at the Greater St. Mark Family Church in Jennings.

Organizers say the summit is an opportunity for the entire community, including activists and law enforcement, to come together.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson, police chiefs Jon Belmar, Sam Dotson, Tom Jackson and Tim Lowery are slated to participate.

The FBI will also be on hand to recruit for law enforcement jobs.

The community empowerment summit is free and open to the public.
