ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The countdown is on for the return of jazz music to Midtown St. Louis. The celebration is set to begin on Thursday, October 2nd, with the Grand Opening of the new Harold & Dorothy Steward Center for Jazz, formally Jazz at the Bistro.

FOX 2 had an Exclusive first look inside of the center which has been completely renovated.

Jazz St. Louis Executive Director Gene Dobbs Bradford, joined us live!

The celebration will include a special performance by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra featuring Wynton Marsalis.

The facility isn't just about the space, "It's the future of performance venues," said Bradford.

The center has capabilities built in for broadcasting and streaming. It also provides Education and Outreach services. There are also new rehearsal rooms with fantastic acoustics.

"It's a truly enhanced experience."

The new Harold & Dorothy Steward Center for Jazz is one of the Top 5 jazz rooms in the world!
