ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The St. Louis Cardinals and their fans are celebrating Tuesday night after the team triumphed in their National League Division Series against the L.A. Dodgers. The Cardinals won 3-2, taking the best of five series 3 games to 1.

The game was scoreless until the Dodgers made two runs in the 6th. Then Cardinal Matt Adams swatted three run homer in the 7th inning. The Red Birds came from behind to take the lead 3-2.

The Cardinals now move on to the National League Championship Series. They will face the winner of the NLDS between the Washington Nationals and San Francisco Giants. Should the Nationals win, they will have home field advantage since they had the best record in the National League this season. If the Giants advance, the Cardinals will have home field advantage in the NLCS.

The first NLCS game will be Saturday, October 11, at 7pm.
