Rangers Come back to Beat Blues 3-2, Spoiling Home Opener

Rangers forward Rick Nash scored his second goal of the night with less than two minutes to play to beat the Blues 3-2 in the team’s opening game of the season on Thursday at Scottrade Center. Nash opened the scoring in the first period. The Blues finally tied the game on Jaden Schwartz’s goal. The Rangers grabbed a 2-1 lead on Chris Kreider’s breakaway goal. Vladimir Tarasenko tied the game at 2-2 on his first goal of the season, set up by center Paul Stastny, who scored a point in his Blues debut. Then Nash’s goal ended the scoring with 1:50 tp play in the game.

The Blues return to action on Saturday night, when they host the Calgary Flames. Face off is at 6:00 PM at Scottrade Center.
