After busy night of protests, Police prepare for more Saturday

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-Protesters and police were busy Friday night and early Saturday morning. Protests and a candle light vigil were held in Ferguson. Demonstrators also gathered in South St. Louis.

Protesters are calling for justice, upset about recent police involved shootings.

St. Louis City Police say protesters from Ferguson, Missouri relocated to the City of St. Louis in the Shaw neighborhood Friday night where they gathered in the street. They were asked to move onto the sidewalk. They complied and marched peacefully through the neighborhood.

There were no arrests.

Ferguson police have yet to comment Saturday morning.

More protests are expected over the weekend. Police officers in St. Louis city and county are working 12 hour shifts this weekend to ensure the public and the protestors are safe. Protesters are using the website,, to encourage people to flood the St. Louis, Clayton and Ferguson areas this weekend in response to police shootings.
