Annual Autism Speaks walk held in Forest Park

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Saturday the 11th annual Autism Speaks walk was held in Forest Park. The event is the largest local fund-raiser for autism research. Since 2003 the walk has raised over $9 million dollars for research.

This year’s walk was emceed by FOX2’s Margie Ellisor and was expected to attract around 20,000 walkers.

It’s estimated that autism affects 1 out of 68 children in the United States.
