Peaceful and Diverse Protest in St. Louis for “Ferguson October”

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - As symbols of Red October fill Downtown St. Louis protesters also can be found for what they call Ferguson October.

A large protest was held in the streets Saturday morning and lasted into the afternoon.

Several thousand people were there and it was a peaceful protest.

It was a diverse crowd from all over the country.

St. Louis police officers worked 12 hour shifts to ensure that the protest was peaceful.

Many of the protesters are upset about the shooting death of Michael Brown.

The unarmed Black teenager was shot to death during a confrontation on Aug. 9.

A grand Jury is investigating the case.
