Gunman shot by store clerk in attempted robbery

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Early Sunday morning a store clerk at a BP gas station shot and wounded an armed gunman attempting to rob the store. The incident occurred at 1:30 am in the 3000 block of south Grand.

Police say the clerk fired two shots at the gunman wounding him in both legs. The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No word on his condition.
