Royals swept Orioles, on their way to World Series

KANSAS CITY, MO (KTVI)- Fans are celebrating in Kansas City Thursday morning. The Royals Swept the Baltimore Orioles and are on their way to the World Series.

FOX 2's Jeff Bernthal is live from Kansas City with a look at the celebration.

There were still people chanting lets go Royals this morning at our hotel when we left for the ballpark. This city is excited.

After the game, fans danced and screamed for hours at the Power & Light District.

If you are a Kansas City Royals fan and you're younger than 30, you've never seen this before. This will be the team's first trip to the World Series since 1985. That's the year alot of Cardinals fans would just as soon forget.

Some fans watched the Cardinals game and when a  D.J. asked if he could get a "Lets go Cardinals," tere where quite a few boos.

Many of the players also joined fans in the celebration.
