ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) -A passenger in a moving vehicle jumped out while on westbound I-70 Friday afternoon. Police say the driver and the passenger were both Lambert Airport employees. They were coming back from lunch when the passenger started acting strangely. The driver tried to restrain the passenger. But, he was successful in jumping out of the car onto the highway.
The jumper was not struck by another vehicle. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The officer involved in the incident says the victim's injuries are not life threatening. He is currently getting a CAT scan at an area hospital. The officer says the victim will most likely have a nasty case of road-rash.
Woodson Terrace police are investigating the incident.
