ELLISVILLE, MO (KTVI) -  A moratorium is now in effect for hunting deer in Ellisville.  The city council voted on the issue Tuesday night.

The call for the practice to stop came after a child found an arrow on his property. The Mayor backed the moratorium, saying allowing residents to hunt the deer really wasn't curbing the over-population problem.
