The Blues got behind 1-0, then roared back for three straight goals and held off the Blackhawks, 3-2 on Saturday night at Scottrade Center. After Patrick Sharp scored an early power play goal for Chicago to make it 1-0, the Blues took control of the game. Jaden Schwartz's fifth goal of the season tied the game at 1-1 after one period.
Ryan Reaves and Dmitrij Jaskin scored second period goals, Jaskin's coming with just five seconds remaining in the period to build a 3-1 lead. The Blackhawks scored early in the third period, but Blues goalie Brian Elliott held of the Hawks to preserve the win.
The victory gives the Blues a record of 3-3-1 and ends their two game losing streak. Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock was pleased to see his familiar Blues team return after a tough start to this season.
