ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - It`s been a tragic and violent weekend across St. Louis. On Saturday, two children were shot in drive by shootings.  A two-year-old was shot in the both legs near Soldan High School and Union and a 4-year-old was hit in the foot at the 5900 block of Kennerly.

James Clark of Better Family Life says he made a prediction in 2011 that the level of violence in St. Louis would escalate. It`s a prediction that's come true in the deadliest of ways.  Clark stresses the fact that solutions to the crime problems start deep in the communities. Community leaders are joining forces with Michael Brown Sr. and Tracy Martin to host a men's only crime summit on November 7th to discuss solutions. Followed by a silent march lead by family members of murder victims on the 8th.
While both children are expected to survive the shootings, the circumstances behind the violence is what leaders are hoping to fix. While looking for way to keep the growing number of murders from becoming a more deadly situation.

Crime summit information:
The crime summit will be on November 7th, 2014 at the Better Family Life Cultural and Business Center 5415 Page Avenue.
On November 8th the silent march will start at 1pm and rally at 2pm from Better Family Life to 1100 block of Union.
