Four-year old wounded in drive-by shooting is second child shot Saturday

(KTVI)-A four-year old boy was shot in the ankle Saturday evening in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood of  north St. Louis.

Police responded to a home in the 5900 block of Kennerly Ave. around 6 pm after a shooting. The victims said they were sitting on the front porch when someone fired at them from a vehicle driving down the street.

The boy was the only one struck. He was taken to the hospital before police arrived. He is listed in stable condition.

Police say the victims gave conflicting accounts of the incident. They continue to investigate.

This is the second child shot during a drive-by shooting in St. Louis Saturday. A two-year old boy was shot earlier in the afternoon a block north of Soldan High School on North Union Blvd.
