FESTUS, MO (KTVI)-Congratulations to the Weight Watchers group at Immanuel Lutheran Family Life Center in Festus, MO. They reached their one-ton weight loss goal! Yes, that means they have lost more than 2,000 pounds between them.

To celebrate the milestone, the group wanted to donate one ton of food to area food banks. Over the last few weeks, members have been bringing in food and monetary donations, with some donating the equivalent of their own weight loss.

Brenden’s Friday Back Pack program, the Jefferson County Rescue Mission, and the pantry at the First United Methodist Church in Festus will benefit from the donations.
