Additional information:

• The three-truck strategy seems sound, except that the small pickup market has pretty much vanished; only 222,000 were sold last year, most of them Toyota Tacomas. So, does the market want another small pickup? Or is Colorado the answer to a question nobody asked? We'll see.
• Colorado may be small, but it does real-truck work. Properly equipped, it can tow up to 7,000 pounds and carry a payload of up to 1,590 lbs. It has best-in-class horsepower (200 hp with I-4, 305 hp with V-6) and best-in-class fuel economy (27 hwy mpg with I-4, 26 with V-6)
• On average, GM says, a Colorado costs $10,000 less than a comparable Silverado full-size truck.
• A diesel option for Colorado (and Canyon) is coming in 2016.
