Amazon testing new taxi delivery service

(KTVI)- Amazon is hoping to get your packages to you faster. That’s why the company is testing deliveries via taxis in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The taxi deliveries would take place early in the morning, when taxi traffic is low. Amazon is exploring alternative modes of delivery to speed up shipments while restraining cost.

It’s also trying to avoid the same shipping delays that plagued UPS and FedEx last Christmas.
