(KTVI)- Judge Mablean Ephriam has a new show “Justice with Judge Mablean”. She is the former judge for “Divorce Court” on FOX 2.

Many people do not know that she was a criminal prosecutor in the city of Los Angeles in 1978. She became worried when several domestic violence surivors urged her to drop cases against their attackers.

Along with Judge Madge Watai, she developed a plan to dismiss those cases, only if the defendants agreed to counseling and no criminal behavior for six months.

These efforts later led to the creation of the Family Law Center in Los Angeles and the writing of the Domestic Violence Diversion and Prevention Act.

You can find “Justice with Judge Mablean” with Judge Mablean Ephriam on KNLC Channel 24 at 6 and 6:30 p.m. weeknights.
