Vladimir Tarasenko continued his torrid scoring streak with a goal and an assist in the Blues 4-3 win over the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night at Scottrade Center. It’s the Blues seventh straight win. Tarasenko opened the scoring with a goal with five seconds to go in the first period. Jaden Schwartz’s goal on the power play gave St. Louis a 2-0 lead. Alexander Steen scored a power play goal in the third period to push the Note’s lead to 3-0.

The Devils finally broke Blues goalie Jake Allen’s shutout streak at 184 minutes with a goal from Michael Ryder to cut the lead to 3-1. But David Backes’ deflection goal of Alex Pietrangelo’s shot increased the Blues lead to 4-1. The Devils added two late goals to make it interesting, but Allen and the Blues win it 4-3. The St. Louis record improves to 9-3-1, good for 19 points. They host the Nashville Predators at 7:00 PM on Saturday night at Scottrade Center.
