(KTVI)- Boy Scouts from the Greater St. Louis Area Council are kicking off the Scouting For Food drive on Saturday. More than 30,000 Scouts, parents and volunteers will hit the streets of the St. Louis  region delivering more than one million bags to homes.

You are asked to fill those bags with canned and non-perishable food. Bags will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014.

Each year, Scouting For Food collects over two million food items. Donations are delivered to the St. Louis Area Foodbank for further distribution through a network of more than 500 partner agencies.
