SUNSET HILLS, MO (KTVI) – The Sunset Hills board of Aldermen will move forward Tuesday, in the impeachment of the city’s mayor, Mark Furrer.

He’s charged with two felonies accusing him of deliberately running a bicycle rider off the road.  The mayor denies the charges and says he has no plans to resign.

At Tuesday’s meeting, board members plan to introduce an impeachment resolution and a proposal to hire special legal counsel for the case. Last month, several speakers urged board members not to impeach the mayor.
