Cardinals and Cubs will play 2015 Sunday Night opener

(KTVI)- The St. Louis Cardinals will help kick off the 2015 Major League Baseball season. It was announced Friday that ESPN will open the regular-season with a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs from Wrigley Field on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at 7:00pm. The game will be featured on ESPN2’s MLB’s Opening Night.

This is the third time the Cardinals have been selected to open the baseball season since ESPN Sunday Night Baseball began in 1990.  It will mark the first Opening Night in Wrigley Field history.
