ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - A local group is raising awareness about Ebola and raising funds for those suffering from the epidemic in their home country. The Liberian Association in Missouri (LAM) will host it Together Against Ebola Benefit Gala Friday, November 23, at 7pm, at the Saint Louis University's College Church’s Grand Ballroom.

Tickets are $50 for a night of dinner, guest speakers, entertainment and dancing.

Money raised will be sent to rural communities hit hardest from the deadly virus.

LAM was founded in 2003 and helps newly arriving Liberian refugees to adapt to their new environment, specifically in the greater St. Louis area.
