New book hopes to provide police with a blueprint for justice

(KTVI)-Clarence Hines is a retired detective sergeant with the St. Louis Police Department. He is a current chaplain for the department and is  involved in Chris Koster's initiative to recruit minority police officers.

Now, you can add author to his resume. He has written a book published by Outskirts Press. “Faith Behind the Blue Wall” provides a framework for God-centered policing for contemporary law enforcement. The goal of the book is to provide officers with a blueprint to do justice the right way .

Hines has a book signing event Saturday, November 15, from Noon-3pm at the St. Louis Police Officers Association. The address is 3710 Hampton Avenue.
