AR-15 rifle stolen from County police car torched in Ferguson

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI)- The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that St. Louis County police are searching for an AR-15 rifle taken from one of their two police cars set on fire during Monday night’s violence in Ferguson.

Sgt. Brian Schellman told the paper that someone in the group of rioters who torched the County police car along S. Florissant Road took out the high-powered police rifle and the rack where it was being stored.

The rifle is still missing.

Ten police cars were damaged or destroyed Monday night. Rioters damaged a Ferguson police car Tuesday night.
