ELLISVILLE, MO (KTVI) - Filing begins 8am Tuesday for April`s municipal elections. Candidates could be camping out before the doors opened early this morning.

Among those who want a top spot on the ballot is the top office holder in town. Ellisville Mayor Adam Paul is running for re-election for the first time since he returned to office after he was impeached.

Another municipal election sure to be closely watched will be in Ferguson.  There will be some new faces on the Ferguson City Council next term. None of the three incumbent members up for election plan to seek a new term.  That's half of the six member panel.

Former Mayor Brian Fletcher says he plans to file for a seat.  The racial makeup of the council has been under scrutiny since Michael Brown's death.  There is only one person of color on the Ferguson City Council.

St. Peters Mayor Mayor Len Pagano says there has been a line of people to be first on the ballot at City Hall for two days. People waiting in line are Alderman Violet, Alderman Aytes, Michael Shea.
