WARRENTON, MO (KTVI) - The American Red Cross and the City of Warrenton wants your help with a blood drive to honor their former mayor.
Warrenton Mayor Jerry Dyer stepped down in October 2014 after two years in office. His wife, Cheryl, read a letter at the aldermanic board meeting. The letter stated that Jerry had cancer.

The Red Cross pointed out that he, like many other cancer patients, need frequent blood transfustions. Winter is one of the toughest times of the year to collect enough blood donations for all the patients in need. However, donors can make appointments and speed up the donation process.
