FENTON, MO (KTVI) - Gander Mountain is making sure some south St. Louis County boy scouts are getting some stolen items replaced.

Officials at Gander Mountain said helping out the Boy Scouts is the right thing to do.   The scouts are going to have a truck load of stuff to take out of here.

Boy Scout troop 790 had a dozen tents, cookware and copper wire stolen from its storage trailer earlier this month.  The trailer was in the parking lot of Bethesda Evangelical Church in south St. Louis County.  The church sponsors the troop.

The scout leaders made a list of the stolen items.  Gander Mountain, which specializes in outdoor merchandise, stepped forward to make this donation to a group of 5th and 6th graders who love the outdoors.

Boy Scout troop 790 was formed earlier this year.  The boys have worked hard holding fundraisers to buy the camping gear.
