(KTVI) – A report being reviewed by the EPA shows some groundwater under the West Lake Landfill contains radium levels higher than they should be.

The EPA is still looking over the findings in the U.S. Geological survey report.

It found 29 percent of its samples of combined radium exceeded federal guidelines.

However, it’s unclear if the levels are from the landfill or occurred naturally.

Tuesday night, the St. Louis County Council voted unanimously to urge the EPA to release the report.
