NEW YORK (AP) _ Up-and-coming rapper Bobby Shmurda is expected to face gun and narcotics charges in New York.

The charges stem from an investigation into a series of gang-related shootings and drug trafficking in the city.

The 20-year-old Brooklyn-born rapper is best known for the hit song “Hot Boy.” One of his videos also popularized a dance move called the “Shmoney dance.”

His real name is Ackquille Pollard.
