AFFTON, MO (KTVI)- A fire has damaged an apartment building in Affton for the second time in two weeks. The incident occured around 9p.m. Thursday night at the Cedar Creek Lodge apartments in the 7800 block of Olde English Road. Fire crews were sent to put out the fire in what may have been a vacant first floor unit. This is the same building where a fire on the second floor forced nearly 30 residents to relocate just two short weeks ago.

Investigators at last night`s fire were checking out trash cans from inside the unit as a possible source. They say the apartment was barely furnished.

Fortunately this time no one has had to leave.

The Bomb and Arson Unit was brought in to investigate that fire and they are looking into this one as well. Firefighters from Lemay and Webster Groves and the City of St. Louis helped the Affton Fire Protection District put out the fire.

No one was hurt.
