SWANSEA, IL (KTVI)- Members of the Swansea Rotary Club were busy sharing the holiday spirit Friday by making sure students had enough to eat when school is out during Christmas break. They loaded up bags of fresh fruit and boxes of cereal then made the trip to deliver their goods to High Mount School.
They discovered the need for the project during a conversation with school officials. It will help 21 families and 42 kids.
The club plans to do the same thing at the end of the month, part of their motto of “service above self."
