(KTVI)- It's sweet, delicious and sounds good too! The long awaited opening of The Fudgery at Ballpark Village has finally arrived! FOX 2's Lisa Hart took a trip to The Fudgery in anticipation of today's grand opening. Lisa spoke with the Manager, Tony Waters and some of the newest team members.

The Fudgery is known for its hand-made, traditional fudge and funny but always creative and entertaining singing fudge-makers.

The store held 'American Idol' style auditions last week in their store at Ballpark Village! They are very excited to have found and hired approximately a dozen extremely talented people from the St. Louis area to be a part of their new Ballpark Village team.

Now in its 34th year, The Fudgery currently operates 29 stores in over a dozen states and is still headed by its original founder and CEO, A.C. Marshall.

The Fudgery team members are famous creating an energetic and entertaining atmosphere.  Some former employees have had national singing careers and signed recording contracts.

According to Mr. Marshall, "We are not able to make stars of everyone, but we can certainly give them the opportunity to shine while performing before our customers. Some will have greater twinkle and they are the ones that have potential to advance their performing careers."
