Pregnant women may not have to totally abstain from alcohol

(KTVI)-Whether pregnant women should drink alcohol at all or in what amount continues to be a matter of some controversy and disagreement, even among medical professionals. The issue is much timelier during the holiday season when there are so many parties.

Dr. Peter Ahlering of the Missouri Center for Reproductive Medicine of St. Louis stopped by FOX 2 to give us some background. He says the current advice from doctors is that a drink or two a week is alright. But each person is different and each woman should talk to her doctor.
