Lincoln County man accused of attacking his girlfriend with a crossbow

LINCOLN COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – A Lincoln County man has been charged with attacking his girlfriend with a crossbow.

The incident happened Tuesday morning during a confrontation between the woman and William McMahan. The victim confronted McMahan, accusing him of cheating when he attacked her.

When she ran away, McMahan grabbed a crossbow and shot at her, but missed.

The victim’s sister and a 2-year-old boy were also assaulted.
