ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) – Tuesday is the last day for the U.S. Postal Service to ship packages to friends and loved ones across the miles in time for Christmas. That's because today is the last day for priority express mail, which guarantees packages will reach their destinations by the holiday. The postal service was so busy over the weekend it set a delivery record. It shipped six millions packages Sunday. That's up significantly compared to the same time last year when two-point-two million were delivered. You can still go to any post office with a 24 hour lobby and mail your package using a kiosk, but you must have a credit or debit card as the machine does not take cash.
