ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- Hundreds enjoyed Christmas dinner at the New Life Evangelistic Center in downtown St. Louis.

But some of the merriment was overshadowed by worries that this could be the last time for that annual Christmas tradition.

The city of St. Louis is threatening to close the shelter in May unless Reverend Larry Rice reduces the number of people who sleep there each night from hundreds to just 32.

Rice plans to fight the city's ruling in court.
